The Photo Depth effect filter is part of the DreamSuite 1 Set. It will give images extra dimension by adding visual touches such as frayed edges, crumpled surfaces and other depth imperfection effects.

 

Photo Depth Example

A. Crumple
This tools adds a crumpled look to the surface of your photo. Circle an area with the crumple lasso to define the area you want to be crumpled. Use Edge Tool Depth, Edge Tool Scale and the Edge Tool Opacity slider to control the Crumple (make sure Global Slider Changes is checked on if you are adjusting the settings after you have drawn with the tool). Hold down ALT Key to trace around an effect area to remove it.

B. Fray
This tool is used to Fray edges of the image or border. To use this tool, start drawing slightly outside the image or border and come into the image or border while running the cursor in parallel with the edge. After a short distance, trace back outside again. Use the Edge Tool Depth, Edge Tool Scale and the Edge Tool Opacity sliders to control Fray (make sure Global Slider Changes is checked on if you are adjusting the settings after you have drawn with the tool). Holding down the Alt key and tracing around an effect area will remove it.

C. Add Bulge Brush
This brush is used to lift up the image in a localized area. Use the Bulge Depth slider to control the amount.

D. Remove Bulge Brush
This brush is used to remove Bulge brush effects you have drawn. Brush over the affected area with the remove brush, and the Bulge will melt away.

E. Brush Opacity
Click on this vertical slider area to access the brush's opacity control. As you adjust the feather controls, you will be shown a brush attributes window. This window displays the attributes of the brush such as size, opacity and feather.

F. Brush Size
Click on this horizontal slider area to access the brush size control. As you adjust the feather controls, you will be shown a brush attributes window. This window displays the attributes of the brush such as size, opacity and feather.

G. Brush Feather
Click on this vertical slider area to access the brush's opacity control. As you adjust the feather controls, you will be shown a brush attributes window. This window displays the attributes of the brush such as size, opacity and feather.

H. Surface Crinkle
This tool works best when you draw a straight line across the photo. It produces a raised ridge as if the paper had been folded and then flattened. Use the Edge Tool Depth, Edge Tool Scale and the Edge Tool Opacity slider to control Nick (make sure Global Slider Changes is checked on if you are adjusting the settings after you have drawn with the tool). Holding down the Alt key and tracing around an effect area will remove it.

I. Edge Nick
Allows you to replace an image that is inside a frame effect. To do this, first select the tool, then click on the photo area inside the effect; you will then be shown a small on-screen menu. This menu will allow you to load another image, turn the area transparent or reload the original image. Holding down the Alt key and tracing around an effect area will remove it. Adjustment to the lighting conditions will also effect the way you see the Edge Nick.

J. Edge and Corner Crush
This tool works best when drawn along the edge of an image or on a corner. It simulates the effect created when a photo is bent in on the sides or corner. To use this tool, start drawing slightly outside the image or border and come into the image or border while running the cursor in parallel with the edge. After a short distance, trace back outside again. Use the Edge Tool Depth, Edge Tool Scale and the Edge Tool Opacity slider to control this tool (make sure Global Slider Changes is checked on if you are adjusting the settings after you have drawn with the tool). Holding down the Alt key and tracing around an effect area will remove it.
